I read you book of beetles and angels i i totally related to it. My mother was in your exact same situation. And just wanted to tell you tht I know your cousin that lives in New York becuz she was a neighbor in my dad back in Adwa. She said she has told you about me and my family. My fathers name is Gebrekidan... and I talked to her on the phone about a week ago. Happy New Years.

Hi Mawi,
I read your book and it was very impressive. I enjoyed reading it and at the same time was proud of the things that you and your family have overcome. There are millions of people who have struggled like you and your family have, and I am sorry that your father was not able to live long enough to witness all of... the success in your life, just as many mothers and fathers have passed throughout time without the slightest benefit of seeing what their children were able to accomplish in their lives. Thank you for sharing you life story with all of the world, and lastly remember not to forget your Eritrean blood. When I say that I mean that you should never forget your father and where he came from. I hope to see you being more involved in the Eritrean community and maybe enlightening us on your experiences so that we may use your example to become productive members of society.
