Mayer July: Painted Memories of a Jewish Childhood in Poland before WWII

Mayer July: Painted Memories of a Jewish Childhood in Poland before WWII We are thrilled that Paint What You Can Remember, Slawomir Grunberg's film, is being shown in Poland and being received so warmly. Bravo Slawomir and Katya Reszke, who works with Slaw. Katya says the film was a hit at the film festival in Kazimierz Dolny, our friends from Opatow went to the premier, and Mayer's hometown wants to make him an honorary citizen! Nice coverage in a Lublin newspaper.

Studying in FloridaSince the younger Jews are few and far between in Florida the rabbi would incorporate both boys and girls in his lessons. One night of Chanukkah, we all went out to the beach (2 blocks) and lit the menorah there and had a study party.Sarah 6/6/2009
