After a few weeks of campaigning (posting campaign fliers, making speeches, and some very active networking), our after-school members made their selections for Youth Council members. Congratulations to all of the winners, and we're looking forward to a promising fifth year of Youth Council activities!

McGivney Community Center, Inc. We're excited about our NFTE info session today. NFTE (the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) teaches young people entrepreneurial skills through a series of twice-weekly workshops. By the end of the workshops, our members will have developed their leadership skills, creativity, and will have come up with a busin...ess plan that they use to sell their product at the end of the year. They're even eligible to present their business plans in regional and national competitions. With funding from Pitney Bowes and the Fairfield County Community Foundation, NFTE will be partnering with our center this year.
