1st Stage Bamboo and Romeo and Juliet? That's right: the set of the 1st Stage production of Shakespeare's R&J consists entirely of bamboo. It all had to be lashed together, and who better to help than the Boy Scouts? Eagle Scout troop 1143 lent a hand as we put up the set, preparing for Saturday's opening of Joe Calarco's adaptation of the classic love story. The show runs June 13 through July 12 at 1st Stage in Tysons Corner, Va. Tickets are available at (703) 854-1856 or www.1stStageSpringHill.org/rj.
