Meher Fund’s sole purpose is to support the Meher Free Dispensary at Meherazad, near Ahmednagar in rural western India. The Dispensary has provided free medical care for the poor and under-served of this area since 1970.

Meher Fund Year-end giving story (from Charles Haynes): I was telling a neighbor about my trip to Ca for a fundraiser in support of the dispensary. She loved hearing about the wonderful work to help those most in need and asked how she could help. "I haven't sent donations yet this year... and this is a very worthy cause." I didn...'t have to ask -- she gave from the heart.

The board of Meher Fund is grateful to all who have supported the work of the clinic in 2009 -- from the dedicated staff to the generous donors throughout the world. The loving care given each day at this wonderful clinic is a sign of hope in a suffering world.
Meher Fund Plans are underway for a party/silent auction to raise money for Meher Free Dispensary in the Washington, D.C. region on March 13, 2010. It will be hosted by Amanda and Larry Traub and Charles Haynes and Christopher Wilson. If you live in the area, let us know so we send you an invitation.
Meher Fund Essential Information (repeated) about the Dispensary: A typical patient visit to the Dispensary, including doctor, labs, and medications (all free) costs an average of $4.50; therefore a donation of $100 pays for 22 such visits!
