Red Leaves / 紅葉 Konbawa / Salutations, y'all!:

So we're increasingly coming on to December's inaugural issue's submissions-closure, and we at "Red Leaves / 紅葉" are still as earnest & mustard-keen to receive creative contributions from English-speaking (Western) writers, prior to our editorial solicitation of Japanese authors. We've already scored high-wire writerly submissions from authors such as TOBY LITT, NATHANIEL RICH, PATRICK HOLLAND, TRAVIS JEPPESEN, NICHOLAS HOGG, YASUHIRO HORIUCHI, amongst a bestiary of monstrously good emerging writers. However, we're still seeking *your* new fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry to complement the mint-sovereign quality contents we've already accepted. So contact the editor for further guidelines or submit to kirk.marshall@wilderness.org.au! Closing date is December 1st, 2008.

Red Leaves / 紅葉 Secrets are better when they gain enough momentum to scare one and all listeners. Hah. It's been a long-staying concept *in situ*, harebrained collaboratively with a writerly Japanese friend of mine, but thought whilst Honours semester-break was engaging my time like a sharp-cut highwayman with a policy for politeness, I may as well develop it a little. Also, getting in English-language submissions are pretty germane before 2008's out, as next year the focus is on soliciting Japanese contributors and translation. So much time, so little kanagi.

Red Leaves / 紅葉 Call-out for submissions:

"Red Leaves / 紅葉" is a forthcoming annual English-language / Japanese bi-lingual literary journal based out of Melbourne, Australia. The international publication has secured prospective contributions from and generated the interest of many recognised writers. However, "Red Leaves / 紅葉" essentially constitutes a new channel through which contemporary, new and emerging writers are capable of being published alongside recognised and established authors. The editor is now calling for your best fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry to be submitted for their first issue in 2009, which will be available to purchase throughout both Australia and Japan. Please contact the editor for further guidelines or submit to kirk.marshall@wilderness.org.au. Closing date is December 1st, 2008.
