New Year's Eve: Carnivale at Alumbra

 If the "white party" (a.k.a. Sensation) across the way at Etihad Stadium doesn't appeal to you this New Year's Eve, then the folks at Alumbra might have just what you're looking for. They are throwing a Carnivale extravaganza, and you are invited to celebrate in South American style. It will feature a Brazillian floorshow with costumed dancers, live percussionists, fire twirlers. It will also offer a fantastic view of the midnight fireworks along the Docklands, as well as Victoria Harbour and Port Philip Bay. Included is a gourmet BBQ between 7pm-9pm and a complimentary cocktail on arrival. Tomorrow: Skyline Victoria's annual Show 'n' Shine

 Approximately 80 of the clubs finest cars will be on display for Skyline Victoria's Annual Show 'n' Shine this weekend. From 10am to 3pm tomorrow, you can watch as these car owners show off their pride and joy along the Waterfront City promenade. The public will be able to walk around the cars and talk to the owners about things from looks to outright horsepower. Cars will include the legendary Nissan GTR all the way to Mitsubishi EVO’s. Street cars, circuit cars, something for everyone. Nice customer comment for Bellissimo Cucina & Trattoria just came in : -
Last Saturday evening some friends of ours who live in Melbourne took us to your restaurant. We were over for the football from Adelaide. The food was great and a good night was had by all.
However I felt I must comment on one of your waiters, a young man named Darren. It was a very busy night but the service he showed us was something special. He was attending to other tables as well but always checked on how our food was going, drinks etc.
He is a credit to your establishment.

Food rating: 10. Service rating: 10. Atmosphere rating: 10 I don't normally give any establishment a 10 for anything, but Butchers Grill deserves a top rating. I had the rib eye and quite frankly it was the best steak I've had in a very long time. My partner had the seafood platter for one and he gave that top marks. The staff were attentive without being annoying and they knew their stuff. The ambience was just great. Would definitely go again and would highly recommend it to any carnivores out there. - Nella (Dined at Butchers Grill CBD) The Italian Rugby Union team took their active appetites to BlueFire recently. With comments such as "the best" and "perfect" used to describe their dining experience, no doubt they enjoyed the range of flame grilled meat and seafood BlueFire has on offer.
