Held in The Old City Watch House at The Old Melbourne Gaol on Wednesday the 11th February, networkers were greeted with an arresting experience provided by the Gaol’s own Charge Sergeants. The event was sponsored by the Tourism Alliance Victoria Attractions Group and the Cultural Tourism Industry Group and was consider...ed a huge success attracting 65 industry representatives.
The Speed Networking event consisted of a series of mini-meetings similar to “Speed Dating”. The idea behind the event was to provide tourism employees with the opportunity to share information, make new contacts, exchange ideas and a have a bit of fun.
Geoff Moed from A Maze’N Things was crowned the "Best Networker", followed closely by Leia Cooper from Pretravel Video, Penny Wilson from Tourism Victoria and Daniel Petrillo from Melbourne Aquarium.

Like all Victorians, the tourism industry is shocked and saddened at the devastation wreaked by the bushfires across the State. We extend our deepest sympathies to all those who have lost loved ones, and in particular our thoughts are with those that have also lost their tourism livelihoods.
