“Few topics are as ripe for parody as evangelical Christian youth groups. Jeremiah Smallchild and Gideon Lamb, the two “inspired and inspiring” men who make up acoustic Christian folk duo God’s Pottery, mine the Bible-thumping kids’ movement for all its worth.”
-The Onion

“I love God’s Pottery! Gideon and Jeremiah are like the brothers I never had, if I’d had two really judgmental brothers who dressed funny.”
-Mike Birbiglia

“Great satire. And something I imagine even religious people would enjoy”
-Eugene Mirman

Greg Gilbertson is sight to behold. Effortlessly producing texturally exciting instrumental guitar pieces as vibrant as a Monet, he has continued in the tradition acoustic fingerstyle guitar made prominent by artists Michael Hedges and Leo Kottke. Communicating deep abstract emotions via his guitar he leaves enough roo...m for your imagination to soar.
As detailed as it is sparse, Greg has achieved artistry through honesty. Influenced by Billy McLaughlin and Tommy Emmanuel, Greg Gilbertson’s material majestically explores caverns of the human soul untouched by average musicians.Read More

Soul never goes out of style, voices like Carole King, Patty Griffin and Laura Nyro are timeless and transcend hipster trends from decade to decade. Alison Scott’s remarkable voice and songwriting are keeping that same flame. Alison has just released her debut album “Wish... On The Moon”, working with Minneapolis musicians who can see something very special happening.
Grammy winning producer Kevin Bowe (Jonny Lang, Etta James) first met Alison at a songwriting contest (which she won) and plans for the recording were begun. “When this quiet young girl walked into my studio and started playing her songs I was shocked at the depth of her writing, not to mention that voice which goes from zero to 90 in about half a second. I knew right then this was going to be a great record and that she would write most of it herself.”John Ziegler (Duluth Tribune) wrote “Alison’s songs come to life with a vibrancy... conjuring up 1970’s divas like Flora Purim and Angela Bofill, she comes in somewhere in between Carole King and Alicia Keys with a Beatlesque send of melody and the quiet confidence of Laura Nyro. Alison is a force to be reckoned with!”Read More

The orphan trains were designed to move orphans living in poor conditions in the city to families in the Midwest to give them the chance for a better life. From 1854 to 1929, over 250,000 children were placed with families through this program.
This performance is based on the actual stories of children riding the orphan train from New York to Kansas City.
