"Because he failed to act assertively, quickly, and appropriately over Chasse. It's a makeup call, and Westerman called him on it. Dan's at fault, here. I'm proud of Chris Humphreys, because he has done the right thing. He has recognized that he's no longer fit to work ...as a police officer, and he ha...

"There are many officers who do a fantastic job, a tremendous job," said the Reverend Doctor LeRoy Haynes, Vice President of the Albina Ministerial Alliance (AMA) this morning. "But there are some rotten apples that need to be exorcised from the Portland Police Bureau."

Commissioner Saltzman has sadly caved into the bullying from the Police Union. The officer was on PAID leave, what was the union's problem, and why all the hoopla?

More importantly, where is the backbone?

Maria, she did. Somehow the city has been convinced to pursue a comprehensive defense. I bet there is a union contract involved. First all the lawyers snickered, now all the MDs are snickering.

For those who care. You should research Carl Jung. The so-called father of Psycho-analysis. He was very much into the ethereal side of the psyche.

I think we can "acknowledge spirit without romanticizing crisis' as long as the spirit(s) one acknowleges help to heal psychosis vs. escalate it, offer community in one form or another, create democratic entry into diverse groups of followers so that the seeker finds the greater whole is the whole point, which is, of course, healing.

Ms. Glynn’s resume shows no experience at all in addiction treatment or medical services. Her experience is in public relations.

John you're exactly right. We're hoping sobriety is the unconventional part of Ms. Glynn's resume which was convincing. Otherwise this is purely a political giveback - a form of corruption we can do without.
