Mercy Volunteer Corps Happy Mercy Day! 182 years ago today, Catherine McAuley opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, Ireland to provide services to women and children in poverty. Mercy Volunteer Corps is grateful for all of our current and former volunteers who continue Catherine's legacy by entering into relationship with people who are economically poor and marginalized.
