As of yesterday evening Congress has answered the call to extend and expand the homebuyer tax credit. It has been sent to President Obama and awaits his signature, which could happen as early as today, November 6, 2009.
This is a major victory for consumers, REALTORS® and the housing market. Thousands if not millions ...have spoken up and out on how crucial this credit was to economic stimulation. We would like to once again thank everyone for their hard work. It has paid off in a tremendous way.

Greater Northwest Indiana Association of REALTORS® Continued...These referendums would have voters from each of the 4 counties determine if their county was to become a part of a Regional Transportation District. The RTD would be established so the transportation needs of NWI could be looked at on a regional basis. All voter polling sites are the same except for Was...hington Township Precinct 3 which is at Porter County Expo Center. Polls close at 6 pm.

Indiana legislation that passed earlier this year required the counties of St. Joseph, LaPorte, Porter and Lake to hold special referendums.
