Michael Parkes I have just left Borsini Burr gallery in Montara, CA . So many people came for the three day event! For anyone interested, I did a lecture on 'Symbols and Stillness' explaining my symbols and some of my earlier paintings. We will make a dvd of the lecture available in a few months. Thank you to all who came to the event. It is a beautiful gallery in a beautiful place.

That sounds like it was an awesome lecture! Its a toss up between the symbolism or your style that first drew me to your work.

Alex Barsuk

Alex Barsuk It was a pleasure meeting you at Borsini-Burr (for the third year in a row :). Thank you for making the exception and signing the book for your "youngest fan" (the baby that kept trying to touch your beard), and for telling the story behind the Blind Unicorn.

I hoped to say good bye properly, but didn't want to take up too much of your time.

Funny, I was just thinking about you before I checked Facebook and found this response. I wish I could have made it to the lecture on Symbolism. Also wish I could have heard your take on Dan Brown's use of your Three Graces in his book... but I understand you're a busy man. :) Best wishes. Hope you have a smooth trip home.

Julie Hello ^^
I was looking for answers when I came by chance across your work. It was "Gargoyles" and "The Summit". I became deeply moved by the sight of these puzzling paintings. They contain exactly the answers I was looking at that time. It's a bliss that you came by your paintings into my universe!! Julie, Belgium.

Michael Parkes I have not been checking my facebook page for about ten days because of travelling. At the moment I am taking a rest in the mountains in Montana... beautiful place and very different from my home next to the Mediterranean sea. Again, thanks for your kind words!
