Tim Reuter The most damning feature of multiculturalism is its perverse hatred of the past. Multiculturalists embrace diversity because they reject the dictum of Edmund Burke that a nation's survival depends on a social contract that is between "the dead, the living, and the yet to be born". True conservatives teach their kids ...to honor the American past while understanding America's prior mistakes; we are an imperfect people living in an imperfect world. However, conservatives like to go to Civil War battlefields and actually learn about the past and what makes Americans one people. Multiculturalists take America's past sins and use them to condemn this country and place a higher value on tribalism. Multiculturalism has eroded the American past into one line, "we are a nation of immigrants". Nothing else matters because all cultures and views are equal. No wonder kids today don't know anything and no one in this country can understand his neighbor.
