"Unraveling Michelle" will be screened at MICA for "Transgender Day of Remembrance" at 7pm in Falvey Hall, in the Brown Center on November 20th.
Michelle Farrell will be there to introduce the film and there will be a Q&A afterwards.
It's a FREE screening.

The festival will be held between Oct 23rd and Nov 1st 2009. Film...s will be screened on the 24th and 25th of October.

Hmmm, parts of our latest review
If you've seen any of the movies Joe O'Ferrell's worked on -- Bigfoot at Holler Creek Canyon? Anyone? -- you might have an idea of how odd Unraveling Michelle is going to be.
Take that low-Baltimore sensibility, add some heroin-addiction rehab for spice, hold on for Joe O'Farrell's journe...y of discovery and blossoming as Michelle Ann Farrell, and you've got Unraveling Michelle.
Documentaries about gender transition are pretty solid staples of GLBT film festivals. But it's unlikely that anyone's ever tackled the subject in such a, well, shit-kicking sort of style. There will be blood. There will also be lots of cigarettes, profanity, aging porn legend Ron Jeremy, and fishnet stockings. Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy gender transition.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL The Festival... of the Worlds provides a forum for global expression through filmmaking. It is a platform for a spectrum of political, cultural and philosophical ideologies presented in an environment designed to foster creative and intellectual expansion. Our goal is to explore both the differences and the similarities of the international community in order to become a more educated population, one that is more capable of avoiding negative historical cycles and more willing to push us into a sustainable future.
We expect this year’s festival to reach an audience of over 1000 people in venues that embrace today’s global nature, including museums and international theaters (which we are currently seeking). Michelle Farrell Ok more good news. Dear filmmaker, Congratulations! Your film has been selected to participate in the 17th Mix Brasil Film Festival of Sexual Diversity. Our festival takes place in São Paulo this year from November 12-22. Afterwards, the festival will tour with an abridged program to Brasilia until early December.
