From Omaha, Nebraska, these lovely ladies never fail to entertain when they make the drive down to Weston.
Especially notable was the effort to dance this year as temperatures hovered in the mid-30s (Fahrenheit). They are genuine troupers!
Midwest Irish Focus Third annual running of a race (very) loosely based on the original Castlecomer Wellie Race held every New Year's Day in Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. The winner of the Weston Race wins a free trip to attend the Castlecomer race in 2010. The Weston Race is run during the weekend of the annual Weston Irish Fest held at O'Malley's 1842 Irish Pub in Weston, Missouri.
Midwest Irish Focus This weekend, Irish Focus will be co-sponsoring the third annual "Weston Wellie Race" on Sunday morning, Oct. 11, which is a benefit for the Kansas City Gaelic Athletic Club. (Meanwhile, over at the blog for the Kansas City Irish Fest, you can read all about the Waddell and Reed Marathon in downtown Kansas City. Go figure.)
