Why bother working if I have to give most of my money to the government! I can't afford to pay any more taxes! Someone needs to create more jobs!

I'm against any new taxes but I'd like to know how much of it was to establish a set dollar amount of funding for education. As a School Board member I'd like to see the educational funding structure fixed before we even think about any new taxes. Otherwise, those funds are here today and gone tomorrow.

Tina Why did $2,000,000 dollars go to the SEIU in Michigan for lobbying efforts in Andy Dillons district? If you are elected Governor, would you allow this to continue. Why are we laying off our Police Officers and giving money to a Union that is currently under investigation for voter intimidation?

I think that I have finally figured out what Gov. Granholm is trying to do. If you keep raising taxes, people keep leaving the state and in the end there is no unemployment. That is unless you count the animals.

I recently learned in a finance class that you should take the unemployment rate and multiply it by 1.8. That will give you the real unemployment rate. It's much worse than it seems.

The downside is we had Consumers Energy during that point but no longer do due to our location. So we won't see any refunds. Bummer. However, I'm glad that other MI families will.

affirmative action is racism, nothing more. racism doesn't only apply towards minorities. if someone was to get their job because of affirmative action, because of the color of their skin and not their qualifications, how could they feel good about themselves? if i got into college or got a job over a person of a different race who was more ... See Morequalified than me, and got it just because i was white, i wouldn't feel good about myself. affirmative action is just the government saying to minorities that they can't become something on their own. it's all part of the liberal agenda to keep them down, help them up, and get their vote.
