Robyn Higgins is a seven year old little girl, who in May of this year was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer. This cancer is rare and aggressive and only affects children under the age of 10.
So far Robyn has endured 8 doses of chemotherapy, injections requiring intravenous antibiotics, blood/platelet transfus...ions, stem cell harvests and bone marrow aspirates. At the beginning of september Robyn underwent a nine hour operation to remove a tumour in her pelvis which had wrapped itself around various nerves within her pelvis and spine, this has since caused her repetitive neuropathic pain in her right leg and she is currently unable to walk though hopefully this should improve in time with intense physiotherapy.
Early this month, (October), Robyn was admitted to the Royal Marsden Hospital where she has received a high dose of chemotherapy to 'wipe out' her bone marrow. She then had previously harvested stem cells given back to her to assist her bone marrow in its recovery. This has left her extremely ill and in hospital for another month at least.
Later, Robyn will have to endure a further 3 weeks of radiotherapy and then 140 days of oral medication. After all this her condition will be reasssessed, Lisa and Greg have been told that if the cancer returns, it will not be treated in a curative way. The chances of relapse with this type of cancer are extremely high.
Her parents Lisa and Greg have found a hospital in New York called the Sloane Kettering Memorial which has pioneered a new treatment using anti-body therapy which has been very successful. This treatment is not available in the UK, and is not likely to be anytime soon. If Robyn does not receive this treatment, her current chance of survival stands at only 40%.
To get Robyn there we need to raise in excess of £300,000. We only have until New Year to do this so time is of the essence.
Please join this group and spread the word, we will be updating different fundraisers, events and of course keeping you all informed on how little Robyn is. The more people we can reach the better.
Please join and get involved and help us save this beautiful little girls life. Any ideas, suggestions or simply if you want info on how to donate, please message us.
Robyn now has her own web site that you can donate and put sponsor money through directly. www.robynhiggins.com

Patrick Walsh Well Mike... dunno wether you'll ever read this but I'm an aspiring musician writing songs and performing covers at south birmingham college. Went to see you as level 42 when you did a gig at the symphony hall birmingham and I've been a die hard fan ever since. Being a piano player myself I find people yap on about Ma...rk all the time, Marks great but you definitly need some time in the lime light! On those early albums some of your harmonies are inspiring and beautiful, Mark provides the driving force you however are the soul of the band... keep it up.

Mike is going to be on tour with "Thriller Live" as assistant Musical Director and on keyboards for the next 9 weeks until Christmas. The tour will take them through Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, the UK, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Slovakia ...

Kevin Angell Hi Mike, Loved seeing you at Bristol in November with L42, always fond memories of you and the guys at Goldiggers Night Club in Chippenham back in the 80's when I use to book all the gigs there and manage the venue. You were all so friendly and always made me part of the team. Lost my copy of Changes (gutted) absolutel...y brilliant album will have to find another copy. Met Chris Fox and the guys at Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas, but missed out on meeting Wally Badarou. Hope you are ok and hopefully catch up with you soon, take care and thanks for the music and the lyrics. Kev Angell
