Andrew Slaines Sky Chariots, Block mania, The Angel Gang...simply amazing, Some of the best comic art ever for style and originality. I am not too keen on the more recent stuff though. I find it kinda strange how he could develop this incredible ground breaking technique and then lately he has just reverted to an overly simpl...istic style which seems like a regression by comparison. We need more Sky chariots.

Steven Sterlacchini How come I missed this page/group? It's because I've been searching for MICK McMahon, all this time!

Brian Bolland Mick's the best. I was his fan before you all were his fans!

Jakob Westman What happened to the Tank Girl comic he was doing? Anyone know? Is it out, on it's way or something else?

Have been an enourmous fan of Mr McMahon's artwork since I first saw it in 2000AD in 1978/9. The thing I,as many others, have always admired, is the way his work constantly evolves, yet still remains instantly recognisable, and the fact that in virtually evrything he has done there is always something that leaves you s...tunned, excited and inspired.
It's almost impossible to think of one page above all else, or a paticular series.Because I grew up reading 2000AD, that work remains the fondest in my memory, paticularly his evolution of the look of Dredd and Mega City One. His work on Slaine, as already mentioned, remains a high-point in the comic, and perhaps one of the finest, consistently excellent pieces of innovative comic strip work anywhere. The Last American work was equally breathtaking. His Howler four parter made me laugh out loud with it's sheer audacity, and stripped-down economy.Would love him to return to Dredd to show them how it should be done.

Chris Wood Can't remember what the first thing I saw of Mike's, it was either the Doctor Who story about the Cyberman or the 1982 Judge Dredd annual. I was hooked straight away anyway. Just gorgeous. I wonder, does he realise just how much of an influence he was on so many young budding artists?

I draw brick and i draw stone the Mike McMahon way....it makes me happy.
And Mike McMahon fingers play all the Gorillaz best basslines!

Sefton What can I say about Mike McMahon that hasn't already been said by everyone else? A definitive 2000AD artist and a constant inspiration in his individualism and willingness to evolve. Slaine: Sky Chariots is my personal favourite. One day, I'd really love to own a print of the "Ahoi! Valhalla awaits me!" page. Awesome dynamics!

Jonathan Edwards He's the greatest. I think I'd have to say the Vampire Effect is my personal favourite too (although there's plenty to choose from). I can still remember seeing it for the first time. Stunning. Constantly evolving. He's an inspiration.

Baden James Mellonie Legend. Simple. Block Mania, Slaine, Cursed Earth, Last American, Tattered Banners etc etc.

I think the Vampire Effect, and his Slaine art is his finest stuff.
Just unbelievable.
The original V.E. pages are all double splashes, and huge.

Mark His art on The Vampire effect in the Dredd annual 1982 blew me away (When I get rich I'd still like to get the originals Rufus *subtle hint* :o) ) It was great to meet him and get a sketch of Pilgrim at Birmingham the other year.

Rufus Mick's working on a 6 part Tank Girl mini series for Titan books.
