Mill City Productions Hello Everyone,

As some of you may have heard, Berkshire Bank
is giving away $20,000- $5,000 to 4 non-profits. They are picking the
winners based on the number of votes each organization gets.

Everyone
gets one vote, and instead of just asking for your vote, I thought I'd
give you some good reasons to vote for Mill City ...Productions.

1.
MCP is run entirely by volunteers. Our directors, actors, producers and
technical team don't get paid a single dime. They do what they do
because they love it.

2. $5,000 could help us with so many
things! Here are a few improvements we'd like to make to the theater:
additional seating, a sound system, more sound proofing so we can have
better acoustics, and more lights!

3. $5,000 could also go a
long way for our 2010 show budget. Putting on a theatrical production
is expensive. Did you know that in addition to costs for the set, props
and costumes, theater companies have to pay fees for the rights to a
show? Our last musical, Zombie Prom cost $1,300 just for the rights!

4.
Lastly, we're definitely a little fish in a big pond when it comes to
all of the organizations entering into this contest, but we could use
the money just as much, if not more so!

We'd greatly
appreciate your vote and would also appreciate you passing this on to
everyone you know. If you would like more information about Mill City
Productions, please visit www.millcityproductions.org

Here's how to vote:

Go to http://www.berkshirebank.com/about_us/in_the_community/berkshire-bank-foundation/help-us-give-away-20000

Click on "Vote Here"

You will be prompted to put in the following information:

Mill City Productions
PO Box 108
North Adams, MA 01247

Voting closes January 31, 2010. Thank you for considering us!

Mill City Productions Mill City Productions turned 5 this year! Hard to believe that if there was a kindergarten for theatre companies, they'd let us go...!

Come join us for a night (or afternoon) of comedy, memories, and reunions, as we celebrate our 5th anniversary with a reunion show of our very first productions: Christopher Durang's ..."Wanda's Visit" (directed by Kate Merrigan) & "Mrs. Sorken", and Daniel MacIvor's "This is a Play" (directed by Liz Urban)!

In addition to the one-acts, there will be photos and other bits of fun nostalgia! And of course... refreshments!

Featuring original cast members Marissa Carlson, Jackie DeGiorgis, Mike Grogan, Tim Mangun, & Liz Urban. Plus, special guest appearances by the original MCP Wanda's Visit Thugs!

Mill City Productions "To pre-judge from its title, "Zombie Prom" might have been emulating "The Rocky Horror Show," the campy, long-running cult musical. Then, as the lights go up on its opening number, the new musical appears to be going after something simpler, a spoof of the fifties in a high school/rock and roll setting, much like "G...rease." But in fact, this sharp and spiffy new show is brighter and better crafted than both "The Rocky Horror Show" and "Grease" put together."

MCP is thrilled to bring you this fun, campy, smart, ridiculous musical - it's affordable summer fun!

Performances:
Thurs. 7/16 - Sat. 7/18 8pm
Sun. 7/19 2pm
Fri. 7/24 & Sat. 7/25 8pm
Sun. 7/26 2pm

Tickets are just $9 for adults & $7 for students & seniors!

Featuring Berkshire County actors:
Maggie Dente ~ Trevor Foehl ~ Maureen Goodreau ~ Chris Gutierrez ~ Patrick Harris ~ Larissa Huda ~ Brooke Mead ~ Conor Moroney ~ Courtney Shapiro ~ Chad Therrien ~ Sam Therrien ~ Amy van Dusen

Plus, local musicians in the pit: Paul Dilego ~ Ross Jacobs ~ Tim Mangun

Director: Mike Grogran
Musical Director: Marissa Carlson
Choreographer: Liz Urban

Please park in the spiffy new lot just north of Building 4 at the Heritage Park, next to the NBCTV Studio, or at the Sons of Italy.

Due to some sexual innuendo and, you know, a zombie..., this show might not be appropriate for some children elementary school-age and younger...

Hope to see you there!
