UPDATE!!!!: We used one of the pictures that Jess took as our christmas card picture this year and we have received so many compliments - even from people I don't even talk to anymore. Definitely will be calling her again!


Jess has a way of bringing out a smile in everyone, even the most stubborn older sibling.

She immediately bonded with both our kids, and they had lots of fun together, and the pictures are awesome!

The slideshow is fantastic and the photos are just what we wanted. This is our second shoot with Jess and we'll definitely be calling her again.

We have had 2 sittings with Jessica McDaniel and both have been wonderful experiences with amazing results. She is somehow able to set the children at ease, work amidst much chaos (thus achieving the impossible) and take the most beautiful photographs all at the same time. Her work is timeless and classic, and it always gets compliments from all who see her photographs displayed in our home (and it goes without saying that we enjoy seeing them over and over again!) She just has a way of capturing the kids' spirits and personalities - it is truly a gift. We look forward to working with Jess in the future!

When my daughter was born four years ago, I searched for a photographer specializing in black and white photography and found Jessica McDaniel. Jessica's style is as warm as she is- my children are drawn to her every time she steps in the door. I treasure the images Jessica has created by observing and interacting with my babies (from my baby son in his diaper to my daughter looking out the window when she was two). Every one who walks in my house and sees the framed photos of Jessica's work raves at how beautiful the pictures are.
