The event ...will take place Saturday November 7, 2009 from 9am- noon. They are looking for volunteers to help with pulling weeds and cleaning up along the Menomonee River at Hart Park. They will be meeting outside the Park Office (7300 W. Chestnut) at 9am.
They will be supplying bags. Please bring gloves, sheers and any supplies that you think will be beneficial for the clean-up.

Findings about the possible impacts of razing the Bridge Street Dam will be presented at a public meeting on Thursday Oct 22nd in Grafton. The proposed demolition of the dam is under debate by some residents who want to keep the dam as a landmark, and the Village's Public Works who want it removed. Bring your canoe or kayak to the Milwaukee Rowing Club (1990 N. Commerce St.) next to Lakefront Brewery for a trip down the Milwaukee River. It takes place Saturday August 22nd, from 10am-Noon. A few canoes/kayaks may be available. Please contact us if you might need one.
If you have own apparatus and would like to register (not required). There is cost to paddel, except sweat.
