Miners Foundry Cultural Center The Miners Foundry is already filling with people, the aroma of fine chili and music! Come and get out of the rain, sample chili, coffee, hot dogs and dessert, take a ride in the Calstar Helicopter Simulator and enjoy great music! Come and go all day for one price of $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 7 to 12, and... 6 and under are free! Music will play until 10:00 p.m. tonight.

Miners Foundry Cultural Center
As some of you might know.. Local Nevada County musician Tony Unger is a wonderful guitarist and darn good friend of mine along with Lorraine Gervais (who is chief-organizer and producing the event with me) and many others. Tony has played with Ivan Najera, Paul Kamm & Eleanore MacDonald, me, and tons of other musician...s in the area, and is also a well known carpenter by trade.
3 weeks ago he had a terrible accident with a skill saw and his left thumb.
He was immediately flown to a hospital in San Francicso, yes the thumb has been reattached- but he has a loooong way to go before being able to get back to his working life. He and his family are in need of some help ..and we're going to take the first steps here with this special evening of music and entertainment...
Note: a “Tony Unger Benefit Fund” account is being set up at Citizen’s bank for those who would like to make a donation directly to Tony and his family, more on that once we have the account finalized.
