Picture Perfect Poinsettia Greenhouse Tours
Saturday & Sunday, November 28-29, 11 a.m.

Nothing says Christmas quite like the poinsettia (first available at our Holiday Open House Weekend). And this year, Bachman's unveils the incredible bicolor Ice Punch poinsettia, a new-to-Minnesota variety that you don't want to miss…! Head down to Bachman's Cedar Acres for a 1.5-hour tour of more than 50,000 poinsettias in more than 38 varieties and sizes ranging from a tiny pixie to a 4-foot tree. November 28 or 29 at 11 a.m.

It's the perfect destination for holiday family photos so don't forget to bring your camera. Plus, you'll receive a complimentary 4.5" poinsettia after the tour and a chance to shop the best selection of poinsettias in town -- right at the greenhouse! Wheelchairs available upon request.

Did you know that spruce tops are a regenerative crop that can be harvested again and again? Replace those tired frost-killed annuals from planters with fresh cut spruce tops this week. Before placing spruce tops in soil, give them a fresh cut (just like you would a Christmas tree) and push them 4-5 inches deep into so…il. Then water soil thoroughly and keep moist until ground freezes. Decorate with pumpkin tree stems, bittersweet, ornamental kale, curly willow and rose hips. Dogwood twigs or stems with interesting seedpods make nice accents too, and can last into winter.Подробнее
