Our first new Sony professional camera since the HDW-F900 CineAlta arrived yesterday. It's the current top-of-the-line XDCam, the PDW-F800 CineAlta. It the first true production camera from Sony in the XDCam line-up.
Unique to the F800 is Focus Assist in the viewfinder. This places a white bar along one of the viewfi...nder's four black edges (your choice). This focus device changes length and slides back and forth to indicate best focus within a center-weighted zone. The camera also records (& plays back in camera) 1-48 fps in 24P mode, or 1-60 fps in 60P mode.
Our rental package includes the body & viewfinder, Audio-Techica on camera mic, 2-Hytron 140's with charger, 100w ac power supply, Chrosziel top-plate with 15mm rods, handle t-bar, memory stick for scene files, & thermodyne case. It rents for $625/ day, or $775/day with your choice of 2/3" HD lens.

We've added more new gear on the HDSLR front. Our first Canon 7D finally arrived. So far, we've got the basic 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens as well as the 24-700 f/2.8L series lens. We'll be adding more Canon lenses soon. The body (with 2 batteries, charger, firewire card reader, & 8 GB compact flash card) rents for $130/day....

Cinequipt, Inc. Here's an interesting couple of items we just got in. The Panasonic Lumix GH1 HDSLR shoots 1920x1080 24p HD video. Plus, the Hot Rod Cameras PL mount adapter allows you to use all your favorite 35mm lenses on it. The camera rents for $95/day (with a 28-280mm lens) & the PL mount rents for $65/day.
