Unlike peas themselves, which would be too mushy and starchy to make a good pesto, pea shoots have a crisp, leafy texture along with their sweet pea flavor.

I don't agree with Amanada's idea that the Trader Joe's should be moved downtown, and it's for the reason the rest of us have all been stating - they pretty much DO NOT HAVE a produce section, unless a person can live off potatoes, onions, and limes. Not only that, but most of wedges products are specialty, whole-food, local, and bulk -- none of ... Read Morewhich TJ's offers.
And the wedge brings in like $35 million per year, and I see $75 of that in total refunds and member discounts. If a few $3 bottles of cheap wine are going to bring that crumbling down, then the wedge wouldn't've lasted long anyways.
Recent fact I learned: The oldest, still-running company in existence is almost 1,400 years old. Beat that, wedge!

Personally, my problem with Trader Joe's is that they portray the air of natural-ness without really carrying a great number of natural-foods items. I tend to think of them more as a Walmart, now: cheap, but of dubious origin. I know its trendy for the Edina house-wives to shop there (in such numbers that they need people directing traffic in the parking lot), but the quality of the products just isn't there.

If TJ's really feels that they must muscle their way into my neighborhood maybe they should just take up residence in the Le Perisien buidling. Seems like there is room to spare in that ridiculous eyesore.
