We would have gotten more for PEOPLE and less for organized crime (aka, insurance companies) if we'd simply referred to the legislation as insurance reform rather than health-care reform. Most people like their docs, but don't like getting fudge-packed by insurance companies.

Chris Coleman surprised the entire political establishment by announcing he is not running for governor. The St. Paul Mayor was scheduled to be in next week's first gubernatorial debate featuring leading Democrats and Republicans sponsored by Hunger Solutions and held in his hometown.

This burnishes Mayor Coleman's star. He picked up good pub and friends around the state. Stepping down was a savvy move. No democratic primary candidate will be competitive against a well-funded Matt Entenza - unless voters find Lois Quam’s legally obtained UHG treasure chest (made off the backs of schmucks like you and me paying inflated insurance premiums) to be obscene.

Chris Coleman is a class act. It was disappointing to listen to the R's smack at him after the announcement, no class.
