Hi Barbara - thanks for your note. We have not advertised on facebook but we did put notes on our catalog and website alerting users the page. Beyond that it's all been viral (we are a big library tho).

This page is an AWESOME thing! I am bouncing between making my library a group and making it a page, and it's making my head spin. How did you get so many fans? Did you actually advertise on Facebook? Is there money involved in having a successful page?

This is a custom FBML application. Page owners are allowed to add two of these applications to their pages. The catalog search widget is the other on our page. They are not too hard to create if you know some basic HTML. The trick with the chat widget is that Flash is not allowed except after users click on a link or image. So the widget as it appears after the page loads is really an image that launches the Flash chat when clicked. Let me know if you would like more info.

Could you tell me what application you used to get Plugoo to work on your Page?
