Minocqua-Arbor Vitae-Woodruff Area Chamber of Commerce

I live in South Florida and you would be surprised at how many people you run into that know of Minocqua and have been there before. I STILL go up there every summer with my family. It's the perfect getaway from the tropics...in the summer of course! :)

For fifteen years we only came up in the winter time snowmobiling, my husband says, now that we have a home on the lake, its seems that the summer is more enjoyable to be in the Northwoods. For me, I Love all the seasons; Summer for boating and the ducks in the yard, fall for raking leaves and bonfires with smores, winter for the brisk walks in ... See Morethe snow and a time to rest and read a book, spring for the arrival of all the different baby animals, i.e. fawns, bear cubs, baby loons, and baby fish! :)

any time is a good time with family and friends around ya and a nice fire to boot..

We did have a vote by phone / email today; so as of right now, Vilas County trails are closed.

no sense in prolonging it. Nothing short of a 2 foot blizzard would bring the trails back to decent.

Wow, Neal! Great work - yes, several men attempted to stop the fire with dynamite. However, Eric - beer does make more sense!!

Wow we've now come a long way in 98 years... Tomorrow we're playing golf with tennis balls on the ice, in September we parade beef, and in April we pay $20 to walk $5 on a public roadway at midnight that is free to walk at any other time.

That explains why my Winchester friends had to get on the school bus at 6:00 a.m.!

We are lucky to have the Town help out with flooding the rink. It has been nice having the chance to skate outdoors this season with the lights in Torpy Park and the bonfire. What a great tradition!

And Thank you to Vickie and Scott for manning the rink when another group dropped out.
