Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce BC Budget is out. Not nearly as dramatic as the last month of announcements. There were no mitigation strategies for businesses effected by HST. There was an increase in the income tax threshold for small business from $400,000 to $500,000 which moves toward the decline of small business taxation.

Property Tax is the odd exception to the general principal of taxation. Most every other tax is based on your ability to pay. Property tax is based on your possessions and/or your choices.
Property tax is an ad valorem tax that an owner pays on the value of the property being taxed. You pay on the value of the proper...ty not your ability to pay.
