Unfortunately, it seems like all of your events are during the week...regular working hours for most people.

That, unfortunately, leaves only paid lobbyists, some wealthy business owners, and a few people who have more vacation than they can use to attend. A quite non-representative group of citizens.

We know it's difficult for people to take off work, but unfortunately we have to be there when the legislators are. There are other ways to be part of the process though - you can call or write your reps and let them know you care about certain issues.

I'd like to see us catch up to other states and offer more incentives to residents. Whether its the purchase of more fuel efficient cars or the use of solar power. Many people need a carrot to the do the right thing. Its time we inspire people.
