Darn few people more than 200 yards from State Street know or care who the NJ Senate president is. That goes for all the big shots, cabinet officials... I'm not saying this to belittle the Senate president, cabinet officials or other big shots. That's just the way it is and no matter how noble or awful their work is, who they are is not as important to the citizenry as people within 200 yards of State Street think.

Dekonte Gonmiah HI from Newark! Do you guys know about the "Walk for Peace" that started at Newark City Hall at 12 noon today. A guy named Ismail Salaam orginized it with his United Youth Council and is hand-delivering a letter to the Governor and Governor Elect requesting they recognize the Violence thats going on in alot of our comm...unities as a Health Crisis. He JUST entered Garwood a few minutes ago on his way to Plainfield around 6pm. People are joining him on and off along the way. He'll stop in New Brunswik for the night and should reach Trenton 3pm tomorrow! I have more info including his cellphone en route if anyone is interested! :)
