Julia Montrose lost a great man this week. Jack Powell lived his whole life in Montrose and his family is still there. I will always remember his smile and great sense of humor.

Carolyn Burke-Arnold Good morning Montrose, Carolyn(Burke) Arnold here, I grew up in Montrose, my mother grew up on Francis Rd (Darlene Powell Burke) all 3 of my siblings and I attended school here, graduated from here as well as my 3 of my sons have also.
This coming June my oldest grand daughter Bethany Houghteling will graduate from Hil...l Mc Cloy. What can I say I love this little town so much I came back here to live after the hustle & bustle of living in Miami Florida..

Jessica Andres Grew up there, graduatedd in '95. Moved to Owosso after I marri.ed, and guess what? I ended up in "New Throw-Up" as we called it in school. Never really made many connections there except with my group of friends. I hated that we had all the dumps and the sewer plant. It smelled bad in the summer if the wind blew ...the right way. But I had a lot of good times there too. Any one besides me go into the old high school when they weren't supposed to? I don't think I've ever miss BB Festival

Kay Marston Harris Montrose was a great place to grow up in. I have very fond memories of the town and the school. I loved Barbers Hill and Hodges Swing and M-57 Restaurant and Hills Orchard. I loved being both a BOY SCOUT and a GIRL SCOUT. I loved the old high school and moving into the new high school (class of '66). I loved going... to school from kindergarten to senior year with the same kids. Thanks for the memories MONTROSE !!

Dawn M Struck I lived in Montrose until 1972, when my family moved. My older brothers/sisters graduated from Montrose. Was wondering if anyone remembers old buildings on N. Seymour rd on river behind what used to be the Pope's house. Remember going back there for a girl scout outing with Mrs. Sullivan & Mrs. Taylor in the late 60's. Or was this an imaginary dream???

Dan McClain Just found this page My family has been around Montrose since the 20s My grandfather built many of the buildings in town (not sure how many are left) I grad. 1964 mine was the first class that went to the new high school and grad. in it. The first class to grad. was 63 class but they went their final year in the ol...d school. The first class to go all four years was 67 class. I retired from Buick in 95 and the last few years have been delivering truck and motorhomes all over the US and Canada. I now live in Gladwin but am going to move near Mio where I all ready have a place in a town called Red Oak, an offical Michigan ghost town. I am getting ready right now to go Bear hunting there.
