The Brains Behind Second Self Virtual Assistance: Pamela Cendejas
Pamela Cendejas is a Certified Real Estate Support Specialist and proud owner of Second Self Virtual Assistance. She started working with real estate agents in 1990 after moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona from Riverside, California. Her prior corporate experience had been in the Administrative Assistance department of a land developer in Irvine. It was natural for her to gravitate to real estate offices since she was familiar with that field. So, prior to moving to Lake Havasu, she sent her resume to every real estate office in town hoping to land a job before she moved. She had three opportunities to interview and decided to work in the front office of the largest real estate office in Havasu.Being a person who loves a challenge, Pamela found myself longing for something more. She interviewed with a national non-profit health organization and was hired to manage the Western Region of Arizona. Now, there's a challenge! She was honored to support wonderful volunteers in their efforts in promoting health programs, fundraising and public relations.
After four years of feeling like she was running 90 mph with her hair on fire, Pamela decided to take a little break and get some rest! It didn't take long for word to get out that she wasn't working anymore. A friend and manager of a local real estate office asked her to help out in the front office for awhile until the regular office person returned from a family emergency. She reluctantly agreed and finally, after several years, she gave her notice. It was a great experience!
It was while she was working at the real estate office, that she was asked by various real estate professionals to help them with their marketing efforts. Pamela designed marketing materials including postcards, flyers and business cards. She also provided a bulk mail service.
In 1997, Pamela was approached by a real estate agent and asked to be her Virtual Assistant. A what? This was back in the day when VAs were not very well known but were gaining traction. A challenge! She was definitely ready for one again. In fact, she is still this original client's VA, along with many others, across the USA. She loves it!
Pamela believes that everything in life happens for a reason - nothing is by chance. So, it's very simple for her to see how her life naturally evolved to bring her to where she is today - supporting real estate professionals who are challenged with finding enough time to maintain their on-line presence, marketing and other administrative needs while also selling real estate.
Pamela absolutely loves what she does!
