College of Human Resources & Education - WVU Faculty, staff and students are invited to Student Athletes Speak Out (SASO) Tuesday, Nov. 10, with Carolyn Peluso Atkins, professor in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology. SASO starts at 1 p.m. in the Jerry West Mountaineer Room at the WVU Coliseum. Ten WVU student‑athletes will present motivational speeches to students in the Morgantown area in conjunction with SPA 170, Speaking to Communities.

McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program. The program, which is now accepting applications for its 2010 summer research internship, is designed to help undergraduate, low-income, first-generation or underrepresented college students earn doctoral degrees.

College of Human Resources & Education - WVU WVU's Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology is hosting an open house Thursday (Oct. 22) featuring self-help options and speech therapy (group and individual formats) for people who stutter. The event will be from 6-9 p.m. in 802B Allen Hall. There will be brief presentations by professor Ken St. Louis and people who stutter, and attendees will have the opportunity to learn about support groups.

Clements will give his first State of the University address today (Oct. 12) at 3:15 p.m. at the National Research Center for Coal and Energy on the Evansdale Campus.
