Only a few weeks to go before the first few beautiful flakes of snow fall in Morzine and i'm starting to get pretty excited! Alex and me are going to be leaving Morzine for the summer in a couple of weeks, and hoping to interview for a chalet hand in early October...
Chalet Catherine
5 days, 5 exceptional locations, 5 sports, and one trail every day (between 5 to 25 kms). A concept permitting the world's top teams as well as teams less experienced to reveal their talents and their endurance. For sure there will be many tales to be told at the bivouac!
Morzine is playing host to the last two stages o...f the SAAB-SALOMON MOUNTAIN X-RACE ! To celebrate, there's Morzine's inaugural sports FESTIVAL which is open to all.
Friday 25 July
4pm-10pm: Huge party night + Trail test open to all (with events and activities in the centre of the village including a live gig and giant prize draw).
Saturday 26 July
Morning: 60km Team Orienteering race starting and ending in Morzine.
Midday: expected arrival of the first orienteering teams in the centre of the village.
Late afternoon: 3km Trail Running Challenge Relay in the village.
Evening: prize-giving.
2pm-6pm: activities in the centre of the resort with plenty of goodies to win.

Chalet Catherine
The MTB Pass'Portes du Soleil is a mountain trek ranging from 1000 to 2250m in altitude, in both France and Switzerland, where you can discover the fabulous Portes du Soleil MTB terrain and its grandiose scenery.
3 circuits will be organized, of 35, 50 and 75km. The 3 circuits all use the area's lifts. Different variati...ons will be organized for mountain bikers wishing to cycle up hill. The trek takes one day, and participants can choose whether to ride it on Saturday or Sunday.

Chalet Catherine There is also a large area round the back of the chalet for bike washing/tinkering, and a large secure garage with plenty of space for bike/mountain board/parapente storage.
The winter season is now well and truly over in Morzine, so we are preparing for our first summer running the chalet independently! This means that hopefully we will be able to provide a more personal service for our guests, and also reduce costs too!
