Mountain Play
Thanks to the generosity of former and current members of the Board of Directors, the Mountain Play was able to engage photographer William Binzen to capture a day on the mountain during our 2009 production of Man of La Mancha.
Photographed over four performances this past Spring, the large scale digital-panoramas will... be unveiled at a reception. Held Thursday evening, September 24th at Servino Risotraunte in Tiburon, Mountain Play supporters are invited to join us as we see William’s work for the first time. The photograph will be used for events and projects leading up to the Mountain Play’s 100th Anniversary, including local art shows, special events and a Centennial book capturing the history of the Mountain Play.
"Very Few photographic images with this wealth of expressive detail have ever been made. We have crated a visual experience of the Mountain Play that is partly imagined yet so convincing in its vivid and extraordinary detail that reality is transformed into a seamless, utterly magical scene." - William Binzen

Mountain Play
The Mountain Play’s annual fall fundraiser is just around the corner. A cabaret show featuring some of the Mountain Play’s favorite performers singing hits from Broadway will be the centerpiece of this musical evening, held on November 6th, 2009. Our annual Fall Benefit kicks off the production season, helping us rais...e much-needed funds to begin work on Peter Pan. The 142 Throckmorton Theater in Mill Valley will be swinging and all your favorite local restaurants will be there too offering yummy tapas-style cuisine paired with local boutique wines. For the pirates among you, Captain Morgan Rum will be flowing – please leave your hooks at home! And to make sure you don’t go home empty-handed, our fabulous live and silent auctions are making a comeback – feel free to bring your checkbook.
