I don't think I would mind either ... of course, the kids can't be crazy, haha. My step-father married my mom after she had 3 sons and while I was fine with him (because I was older), my youngest brother had a hard time. But my stepfather kept working at it because he loves my mom so much. I'd like to think I'd be like him if the opportunity arose.

another trick, use good old baby shampoo diliuted on a washcloth wipe over the eye... carefully... an opthamologist told me this trick when my daughter was allergic to the drops and her eyes were really swollen!
