The past two days of snowfall has made it especially beautiful here in Steamboat. Gentle, Spiritual. And it means that there will be good skiing and snowboarding, a revered event indeed. Willy, Cody and Micky Braun would agree, after an anything but peaceful passage to our condo...

So we woke up this morning to another day of bacon cooking in the kitchen, and Aaron in his PJs doing something to a pork shoulder roast that involved peppers (lots and lots), and wise-ass comments from Sheila while she was wearing ski goggles to protect her eyes from further damage...

I am writing this post from an undisclosed location inside our undisclosed location. The Music Fog Crew says I beat up the keys of my laptop because of my nails, and I have been banished from the studio shoot because you can hear me clicking. Todd Snider is tuning in the other room...

Music Fog Amazing recording day for us at MusicFest in Steamboat. We've got the condo studio packed up, and we're filming around town tomorrow. More videos on the way!

Our good buddy and renaissance man Ray Wylie Hubbard is at it again! He came by the living room bunker this afternoon, and listened to Todd Snider sing, then took his turn at the mic. Always an auspicious event, this time around made more so as his brand new album A. Enlightenment B...

Music Fog We're recording sessions with the Trishas, Reckless Kelly, Sean McConnell, & Chris Knight today...minimum!

Well here we are in the living room studio at La Casa de Ski Lodge, our hacienda up the mountains in the snow. This is so cool, it is my third MusicFest with a visit from the Band Of Heathens. A promise: Guys, next time we get together, I will have the food ready in time for you...

Oh man. The sky was blue today, we had beautiful driving weather, and when we got off the Shiner/Celebrity Coaches bus, it was to the sweet crisp crunch underfoot of white snow...

This part of the drive out is getting strange. The belly of the Celebrity Coach bus is packed tight. Most of it is beer. Shiner Beer, in four different flavors! Jessie makes these arrangements that always surprise...
