Musical Theatre Guild
Set in the non-stop circus of life, STOP THE WORLD – I WANT TO GET OFF focuses on the iconic Littlechap, whose first major step towards improving his lot is to marry his boss' daughter, Evie. After romancing Anya, Ilse and Ginnie (funny how they all look like Evie), Littlechap comes to ultimately realize that what he a...lways had was what he wanted all along. The richly and melodiously packed score includes "Once In a Lifetime", “Gonna Build A Mountain” and “What Kind of Fool Am I?”
In the two leading roles are Justin Robertson as Littlechap and Tracy Lore as Evie with Robin DeLano, Jennifer Gordon, Melissa Lyons, Brandon Michael Perkins, Jeffrey Polk, Jennifer Shelton and Heather Hoppus-Werner rounding out the cast. STOP THE WORLD – I WANT TO GET OFF will be directed by Douglas Clayton with musical direction by Ron Colvard, choreography by Joe Giamalva and is produced for MTG by Scott Dreier and Michelle Duffy.

“MOST HAPPY CRITIC! This is as fully realized a rendition of this show’s myriad charms as I have seen. Musically and dramatically, director/musical director Calvin Remsberg’s production is a knockout.” Les Spindle – Backstage West On Line
“Musical Theatre Guild once again astounds with their “Concert Staged Reading” of Frank Loesser’s 1956 Broadway musical drama THE MOST HAPPY FELLA.” Steven Stanley – Stage Scene LA

The highest complement I can pay to Musical Theatre Guild's crash-course minimalist staging of the vintage Cy Coleman-Dorothy Fields-Michael Bennett musical Seesaw is that I didn't miss any of the trappings one usually expects in the revival of a Broadway musical extravaganza. Staged for one performance only on Septemb...er 15 at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, and assembled with a bare minimum of rehearsal time (and with performers largely on book), the performance nonetheless felt like a high-ticket musical treat for several reasons, but there were three primary ones: the boffo efforts of charming and talented lead players Roger Befeler and Eydie Alyson and director-choreographer Todd Nielsen.
