The Frauenthal is such a great venue! Saw many movies there when it was the Michigan Theatre (along with the Regent!), now we enjoy the close up atmosphere of live performances... we've seen the Temptations, Point of Grace, Front Porch Blues (with Deborah Coleman, Elvin Bishop, Corey Harris and more), Nicole C. Mullen,... and several High School and Gospel competitions...
not a bad seat in the house but am partial to front row balcony :-) We are lucky to have such a great place to experience great music!Read More

Asaline Scott I love the Frauenthal Center! Would like to see upcoming events posted on this site.

Tim Clifford I grew up living about two blocks away from The Frauenthal, back then it was the Michigan Theater. I watched many, many movies there. That the end of this month the band I'm in, Dewsouth will be playing there. Really looking forward to it.

I remember getting in a long line with my mother paying 25 cent to enter into the theater to watch a movie, and Mrs.Smith would always say ''enjoy your movie''to find out years later she was our neighbor across the street.
It became Cherry something theater, and I dressed elegant in a bright red sequinned dress for a g...reat performance. When it was over I was in love with the Wall just water falling, and flowing off the wall.....I'm only 42yrs old, but it feels like yesterday.
Pray... it never comes down !!!God's Will!!!Read More

I love the Frauenthal Center and have been to many different concerts and other events there. It's a beautiful restored old theatre that is wonderful to be in and look around at. My daughter, Corine Smith also works there in the ticket booth. She loves her job. Did you know that they also have weddings and receptio...ns there? It's also now the home of the Mona Shores Singing Christmas Tree. A wonderful Christmas event.Read More

Many, many great memories here, Playing Peter Pan (with flying by Foy) in 1979 for Mona Shores, singing "Tomorrow" from Annie in 1978 before most had ever heard it, several pageants performances as contestant and principal performer, "Grease" COA days and a few more, but mostly, the memories of my Mom, Claralou Morano,... who directed several productions. I've had dreams of her walking around and directing since she's been gone. I have a great picture of the Old Manager, Paul Oplinger at his desk in the old office. GREAT Memories, I hope I have a chance to perform there again someday...Read More

Willy Doit Macbeth, Macbeth, Macbeth... Good luck on that Macbeth.

Korbin Mulder I had my senior pictures taken in here and have been in love with this theatre since I first set foot in it. Since then, I have been a performer in it and even had a tour into the dome and lighting booth, which used to be the projection room. I love this theatre so much and will always be a part of my life.

Audrey I love this theater- having performed here, seen shows here, and had my wedding here- it has so many memories and so much atmosphere!
