Greenland, the largest non-continental island in the world, is culturally and politically unknown to most foreigners, but on June 21, that began to change. Think study abroad is a great idea? We do too! (Just check out last week's 5 for Friday) The Simon Bill would help potentially 1 Million students get the opportunity to study overseas. This has been passed in the House, but hasn't yet in the Senate.
Check out out 6/18 blog for more information on the bill, and urge your senator to vote for it here:

Please take a moment to take action and urge your senator to vote yes on the Simon Bill. It would lead to a tremendous shift in our country's global awareness--and our kids' ability to seize their most thrilling and fulfilling opportunities in the global economy.

My Wonderful World Hey Everyone! Here at MWW, we're gearing up to celebrate July 4th. We want to know how you celebrate your independence day or national holiday, either in the U.S. or in any country! We'd love to read your stories and see any pictures that you could put onto the site.

Greenland has been officially recognized by its Inuit name: Naalakkersuisut. Since 1721, this country with only 58,000 inhabitants has been ruled by Denmark. On June 21, Greenland is following in the steps of Norway (independent since 1814) and Iceland (1944) and breaking from Denmark on the path towards its own country.

Just want to put this out there:
For this blog, it wasn't a personal list or a list of the best places to visit. I looked up the most popular places for study abroad and picked one on (most) continents to make the 5 list. Probably the HARDEST 5 for friday list.
