Adrian Todsen How do you take into account courses you've gotten out of through AP credit?

Hey, guys! We are currently in the process of implementing a way to include AP courses for cases like yours, but that is only the beginning!

We are developing a new application called the Credit Manager for students just like you, who have credits from multiple institutions or have received credits prior to entering college. It will help you ... See Moretrack where you earned the credits and how they apply to the degree you are earning.

For right now I would suggest holding off on putting a grade in for those courses until the Credit Manager is launched. It will allow you to show how AP credits or credits you've earned at any college, apply toward your degree.

Andrew Acosta

Andrew Acosta Hey guys thanks for providing such a useful service. I can't begin to tell you how much your site has helped out, and as far as the $10 membership price, I find it more than reasonable concidering how much all us "poor college kids" are spending on iphones, downloading songs, chessy school merchandise, beer, video game...s, name brand everything...etc, etc. oh and books.

Jennifer i think it is pretty stupid to have to pay for the service, because we are already college students and already broke, so why make us pay to use the service!?

Hi Jennifer. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with your honest feedback.

While we wish MyEdu could be free for everyone, it requires a considerable amount of time and money to assemble information and create applications for our members. We are extremely proud of what we have created and that we’ve managed to keep it affordable for students everywhere (only $10!).

We realize students are required to spend thousands of dollars on textbooks and tuition each semester, and everyone is affected by today's economy. MyEdu's information and services are designed to help students save money by avoiding unnecessary courses or having to drop/retake tough courses. Our applications have proven so effective in improving student performance that students at many campuses have been supporting the service through paid subscriptions for many years. ... See More

I can include your name in our monthly drawing for a free lifetime MyEdu membership if you would like. We give out free accounts every month as our way to help give back to students.

Let us know if you are interested by emailing: customer.service@myedu.com

i do understand it takes time and money to assemble the information, and i am appreciative of the service dont get me wrong, but i thnk alot more people would use it if it was free, and you could get money through advertising or something else. idk just my idea, because i know me along with many of my other friends, do not intend on paying for a service like this. because we could find others that are free such as ratemyprofesor.com

Chris

Chris if we are going to pay for this service then there should be a way to see how grades differ dependant on the time of day the class was held, the days of the week the class was held and how the professor is tending to grade on more current classes, because some classes are not reflected properly by the history of grade ...distribution because the professor has changed the grading style in recent semester. Also it would be very helpful and possibly profitable for you to obtain the information on which textbook is used and possible locations to obtain this text book. This would also alow users to possibly sell their books to new students rather than be ripped off by the book stores. But so far Im am more impressed with MyEdu than Pick A Prof.

Thanks for the feedback, Chris. I like the idea of breaking up the grade history data so that students can get more granular in their understanding of the professor's past grading patterns. I'll share this feedback with our developers as well as the textbook idea. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us!

Marty

Marty What's the difference between light and full memberships? The sight is hard to navigate and find. Also, how does one enter into the drawing for a lifetime membership? Not sure if this is better than pick-a-prof yet. Seems like it's more steps to do the same amount of work than before.

Hi, Marty! The light membership just gives you access to the schedule tools whereas the full suite provides the schedule applications plus data on degree requirements, tools for managing your courses and information that will help you stay on track to graduate on time. As far as the lifetime membership drawing goes, I have added you to our December drawing and if you are chosen, you will receive an email from us at the end of the month. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!
