It’s a sure sign that the holidays are upon us. This morning I saw Kara Franco Lally andsome of her “elves” – Margaret, Amy, Irma and Allen – starting to decorate the South entrance courtyard at Mystic Seaport with sprigs of holly, juniper, pine, larch, spruce and yew.

Shiprights at the Henry B. DuPont Preservation Shipyard begin removing the celing planks from the hold of the Charles W. Morgan. With the celing planks removed, they can get to many of the ships frames that need to be replaced.
