Get your clubs ready for the NAMI Charity Golf Outing on Tuesday, September 16th. We will have a shotgun start at 9:30 AM on the beautiful PGA course of Western Golf and Country Club. We are looking for sponsors and golfers!

Labor Day Monday, September 1st
We will meet at 10:00 AM on the Northern side of the Mackinaw Bridge in the Bridge View Park (look for the NAMI Michigan Banner) and walk the bridge together.
The goals of NAMI WALKS Michigan are to raise funds to promote the mission of ...NAMI and increase public awareness of the conditions of Mental Illness, and the possibility of recovery and integration into the community. To join this event meet us at 10:00 AM!
*Walking the bridge is FREE
*You will receive a numbered bridge walk certificate at the completion of your walk.
*If you have a winning number, you are entitled to claim a prize which may be worth anywhere from $15 to $150.
*Of course, there will be the beautiful view of the water and scenery walking over the bridge!

Shhh...
It wasn't too long ago that our parents' generation was not aloud to talk about breast cancer. It was something only to be discussed between the family and doctor. Once people began to talk about it women became aware of the symptoms and early detection saved more and more women each year.
NOW our generation has ...the opportunity to break the stigma against mental illness. Being ashamed to talk about mental illness only prevents people from seeking treatment. Just like breast cancer, mental illness is treatable!
In 2007, thousands of concerned citizens in more than 60 communities across the nation will join NAMI's Campaign for the Mind of America and walk together to raise money and awareness about our country's need for a world-class treatment and recovery system for people with mental illness. Want to join us this year at Detroit's beautiful Belle Isle location?
