Hey man, I totally agree with you on this one. A route summary feature is badly needed. Love the app also but really hope Navigon will add this very soon, because I'm very sure they noticed the competition is stepping their game up big time.

Oh, And google maps showed a nice long red line of stopped traffic. If they can show that, it means that the traffic information IS available from somewhere. You need to tie it into your service asap. There is no excuse for a pay-for add on being outdone by a free, built-in service.

Thanks so much, there are so many vague, 'I think I read somewhere' answers out there. A windshield charger is obviously key to using this in a real way, so I'm glad to hear this.

Yeah. Have noticed this limitation too. Can make it difficult. I usually follow the "lane assist" feature or "reality view" in those situations.

unfortunately, reality view will only come up when it wants to... you cannot turn it on whenever you want. or can you? i don't know how to do it. how do you use the "lane assist" feature?

Ok, my testimonial is not only based on map analysis. I use Navigon every day from the first day it is available with TL. Fact is the inner city information is not accurate while it is on my Windows Mobile Tomtom or on viamichelin.

I also had many exchange with navigon support regarding this issue and they agreed and told me that inner TL was not yet active and that things should be better next week (now the previous week).

please do not believe I do not appreciate the Work and the quality of navigon software but for traffic live service is not working has expected. To be more transparent, it does not work as well as the old tomtom traffic service (before traffic HD) that is far from perfection. ... See More

Now we can find many good reason of why TL is displaying or not displaying information, facts are facts and the screen capture I sent where done in situ : navigon was wrong regarding traffic vs reality and vs ViaMichelin. (by the way I run Viamichelin and Navigon on the same time.... Thanks goes to backgrounder.)

Navigon has a killer application but needs to singnificantly improve the quality, accuracy, feedback given to user, GUI, of it's traffic Live service to be at the same level than free products like viamichelin,google or v-traffic or versus software like tomtom ( not he iPhone version that currently lake traffic services).

My testimony was made after real test in situ.

Like you, I have also notice that the way Navigon shows the traffic information on the 2D map view is not comparable at all with the one you can look at the same time with Google Map for example, but anyway when you drive the detail inner Paris is now efficient enough and much more complete than the one on the 2D Map.

On the contrary of Google Map which shows the road segment in green, yellow, orange or red, what is the most precise view one can expect, Navigon only pins a sign which seems less detailed, but If you zoom in and out you will see more traffic signs on the Navigon's 2D Map for example.... See More

I don't know why, but my feeling is that Navigon does not load all the traffic available from once (to reduce connection time maybe) and that you get that detailed information while you progress on your way... maybe it's just a question of feeling ;-)

Once again, we all miss a clear documentation from Navigon concerning iPhone MobileNavigator and every is trying to guess how it works... making most often wrong understanding (i'm talking for myself first)
