Yeah, I remember "global cooling" too. The thing I remember most is that the theory lasted - what - two years before being countered?

Today we've got decades of scientific consensus about the fact that the climate is changing, and humans are causing it.

Ask any old-timer who lives off the land:
Is spring coming sooner? Yup.
Are winters generally milder? Yup.... Read More
Are rainstorms more sudden and intense? Yup.

The single most likely cause? Human-caused emissions of fossil carbon.

Yes Suzy, that's what they do in NC too. They touted it as progress and all it really was was a relocation of the education tax to people in a different income bracket (primarily the poor and minorities). There's loads of sociology research into the correlation between a communities race and the concentration of ticket-selling stores, check it out.

Credo (long distance and mobile phone service) helps me keep up with all the letter writing and lobbying. Very helpful. This is the company that Ben and Jerry's spun off in the 80's. Still going strong. good rates and rewards, book selections for my political leanings, and constant updates for legislation. 20% goes to charities - your choice.
