SHIFT Patch 1.02 has now gone live for PS3. PS3 users will be prompted to download the the 234Mb v1.02 update when they next start the game. Xbox and PC users must wait until December 1st before the patch rolls out to those platforms. Read the full patch content details here.

The first Need for Speed SHIFT downloadable content pack titled Team Racing Pack should now be available on the PlayStation3 platform. Just start the game and you should be prompted for an update. Certain regions may be getting the update a bit later, so if it doesn't install immediately, check again later....

As part of the 100 million Need for Speed celebration the team behind the official site did an interview with Need for Speed technical director Wes Potter. Wes has been working on the series since Need for Speed 2 back in 1996 and he has quite a few interesting facts to share....

Many showroom users have lately been dissatisfied with the current situation in the showroom. Some users have left the site and many have required a new SRmod. I was one of those who wanted a more active person to moderate the showroom (no hard feelings YaelDjiel :wink: ) so I asked Bojan if he can hire someone to do ...the duty. I suggested him some users but then he asked if I can be a SRmod and after some thinking I said yes. So now I will try to clean up the showroom from unrelated pictures and multiple uploads and watch that people obey the rules. I will also be responsible for SR Challenges (you can suggest themes on my shoutbox or pm) and first SHIFT challenge should be soon. I hope that you could tell me your views of how to make the showroom better and report if you notice someone breaking the rules. But I hope you realize that I won't be here 24/7 so nothing happens in a second. You can also tell your showroom worries to the rest of the staff and YaelDjiel will still be a SRmod with me.
