The health care bill includes a $100 million section for increasing medicaid subsidies to the state of Louisiana. The Note, authored by ABC News' Rick Klein, covers politics, the White House, Congress, Democrats, Republicans, and all latest political campaigning for the 2012 presidential race. ...

A hundred million is barely a decimal point on the national debt. Besides, Louisiana got a bad break with the flood.....this is America....we help fellow Americans who are hit with a natural disaster. And log rolling is a long standing way of getting votes. It's been going on for hundreds of years in congress. Don't be naive. It's not that ... See Morenumber that worries me. It's the 1 trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see. That has to be fixed....and I think the Chinese and Japanese and Saudi's are putting a lot of pressure on us to fix it. Unfortunately it will make the recession worse. The country runs on money....not ideology.

Actually, it was $300M, and add to that whatever Harry Reid is giving to NV...what else is there? The fact that this woman blatantly admitted on the floor that her vote was paid for is unbelievable. Yeah, I know it's what politics are made of...but when its admitted to, on the Senate floor, without any inhibition like that, AND could factor into the DECIDING vote on what will surely change this country for the worse...I don't think its terribly naive to complain about it.

NH Citizens for Limited Government Folks, As if we have not had enough evidence of the complete failure of the Porkulus bill witness the link below from our friends at the Bartlett Center that explains NH now has 6 congressional districts. as for the supposed jobs numbers NH recieved $695,501,517 and "allegedly created" 3,528.5 jobs. Meaning that each a...lleged job we have saved cost us taxpayers $197,137 Whoooo . Yes Please lets Rush our way into healthcare next with this trackrecord Im sure cost will drop significantly.

Are you crazy thinking this health care should go through? We have bridges falling in, and the NY, VT Champlain Bridge is closed for the next 3 years. Job losses. We have a Constitution in this country and it reads “We the people... See More” not “We the government”. Google it. And for those jobs that my grandchildren have to pay for. We just had Manchester, NH city water brought in to 240 homes at a cost of $2,619,998.40. I have thanked my grandkids for paying half the bill and the home owner has to pay the rest even if they hook up or not. It is called a lean. And all the trucks and men that put the water in, was from Mass. The voters voted 60% no, 40% yes. There’s democracy. For the people that want this health care, wait until you get real sick. “We are sorry Mr. Sick person, we the government does not have the money to fix your major problem, here is the number to hospice.” Look at VT and MA health care; it has almost bankrupted the states.

Health care can be cheaper if they fix it but it's very hard to understand the current bills. If they screw it up, lots of people will be defeated.

Hey, why not wait to see how it looks....but I think it's over. There will be a bill now and it be hashed out in reconciliation between house and senate. They only need 50.1% to pass it now. It's over. So hope for the best. Hey, insurance companies cannot use pre-existing conditions to disqualify people, more of your fellow americans will have... See More coverage....there will be more choice in coverage....it's not all bad. Did you really think after 11 trillion of national debt your taxes will go down....They are going up. Mostly those deficits are due to Republican. Just look at the chart on my site for deificts.....2 trillion under Reagan, 1.2 trillion under Bush 1, 1.1 trillion under Clington, 4 trillion under bush 2.....and now the latest with Obama which to was also Bush 2 with TARP and AIG and Fannie and Freddie. I am not so convinced that democrats are evil incarnate. Their constituency is not doctors, hospitals and insurance companies.....so those guys will get a little screwed. Lets see what it looks like.....it's a complicated issue.

Historic health care legislation could be on the floor of both houses of Congress as early as mid-October as Democrats work to answer President Barack Obama's call for greater protections for those who have unreliable insurance or no coverage at all.

This is an absolute disgrace, but it should come as no surprise. Most of the "news" media is nothing but a collection of leftwing Democrat hacks who actually enjoy manipulating the voters of this country.

Both ABC and NBC show both sides of this. I've personally seen it. I don't know about Ads. I haven't seen many ads on this issue. All industrial countries have national health care....we have it ourselves but it's expensive care for poor people in emergency rooms. And of course we have health care for the elderly thru medicare. Our medical ... See Morecare costs twice what it does in Spain and Britain and Japan and Belgium.....and they live 3 to 5 years longer. I know the numbers....I do TV shows on this topic. Just be patient and filter all the noise when listening. It's a very complicated issue. In France or Switzerland, people don't go bankurpt because of health care. Health care bills are the single biggest source of personal bankruptcy. There's something wrong with ordinary people losing everything because they were unlucky enough to get cancer.
