Nanaimo Bars
Robin I have been bragging about these every since I moved back to the US from Canada. Have learned to make them pretty well.

Carolyn Okay so I just made the Canadian version with the custard powder (Birds) and thought the icing (in which I put red food coloring and made it pink! I was going for red) was WAY too sweet and not hard enough to hold up the chocolate. The middle payer was not hard enough. I will try a similar version with different middle... layer... I used unsweetened chocholate instead and that was better. I was not too sweet, although the middle was overly sweet. Yuck to that custard powder. Now what am I going to do with all this custard powdder? I will update when I make it again!
Melissa Zimmerman They remind of ICFC and just melt in your mouth. I have tried a few recip. but can't find a good one...any help?

Ida Recently started a new job and the "lunch lady" sells them semi frozen for a $1.50each - I am addicted to these things - "kick starts" my whole day!! By far the best cookie I have ever had........I need the recipe!!
